Timothy K. Garfield specializes in the representation of public and private colleges and schools in all legal matters relating to their operations, transactions and related litigation. He also represents California public agencies in labor, business and property matters. He is a 1971 graduate of the University of Southern California School of Law, where he was Managing Editor of the Southern California Law Review.
He is a co author of College and School Law, published by the American Bar Association. He served as Deputy County Counsel for the County of San Diego (1972-1979), where he devoted most of his practice to education law.
Mr. Garfield is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys and the California Council of School Attorneys, and serves on the Board of Governors of Perelandra College and the Board of Directors of Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1972.
